Known Connection Issues
- Acorns -Some accounts are having trouble connecting or getting updates.
- Ally - Account updates will sometimes fail.
- American Express - Some accounts are having trouble connecting or getting updates due to decisions by AmEx.
- American Express Personal Savings and Checking - Some accounts are having trouble connecting or getting updates due to decisions by AmEx.
- Bank of America - New account connections may fail. Please wait and try again.
- Bank of the West - May pull a bad balance
- Bilt - If your balance is updating, but transactions are not coming in, then you may need to connect to the underlying card provider Wells Fargo instead.
- Boeing Employees Credit Union - Some accounts are having trouble connecting or getting updates due to decisions by BECU.
- Capital One - Capital One is currently limiting how often apps like Monarch can automatically refresh. We've asked Capital One to allow apps to connect more frequently but for now manual refreshes should work.
- Capital One Credit Cards - Duplicate transactions may show up when the account is added, either during the initial connection or on updates. Capital One is working on a fix.
- Cash App - CashApp will sign-out users every 2-3 days and force them to answer their MFA challenge once more to get re-connected.
- Charles Schwab - Some accounts are having trouble being added. Please wait 24 hours and try again.
- CitiBank -May prevent users from connecting, some transaction updates may fail so try a manual refresh of the account.
- Citi Custom Cash Cards - May appear to be missing due to an existing issue that is being worked on.
- Discover - Discover only allows updates between 8am - 8pm eastern time. Importing check transactions will often fail. A bug exists where Discover may delete the account connection leading to new transactions no longer coming in. We're currently working with them on a fix.
- Edward Jones - This institution is under development, preventing connection.
- Empower Retirement - Has implemented technologies that limit or prevent aggregation. Data providers are coordinating with them to resolve issues. May falsely surface "invalid credentials" errors.
- Fidelity - Fidelity blocks updates and new connections from 9-5pm eastern. MFA also blocks connections if turned on. An update in security settings is causing failures. Some transaction updates may fail so try a manual refresh of the account.
- Fidelity Net Benefits - New account connections may fail with an 'invalid credentials' error.
- Freedom Mortgage - This institution has been unresponsive to our data partner's attempts to repair their connection.

- HealthEquity - Currently undergoing a development process, connection not available.
- Interactive Brokers - In order to connect you may need to do the following:
- Login to 'Account Management' at https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/home.php
- Open menu in top left, go to Settings > Account Settings
- On the right side, under 'Reporting' configure 'Third-party Services' by enabling it
- Enter your IB username and password below and begin a sync
- Enter the 'TOKEN' and 'QUERY ID' as they appear after activation on IB as answers to the questions that are presented to you during the sync.

- Marcus - Has implemented technologies that limit or prevent aggregation. Data providers are coordinating with them to resolve issues.
- MassMutual Retiresmart - Connection currently being rebuilt, due to changes in the institution's MFA flow. Refreshes and account adds may be down during this time.
- M1 Finance - Currently experiencing an MFA setting that can prevent connections.
- Navy Federal Credit Union -Some accounts are not getting updates.
- NorthStar Bank (MI) - Has implemented technologies that limit or prevent aggregation. Data providers are coordinating with them to resolve issues.
- One - We are experiencing issues connecting to this institution. Try refreshing or contact us.
- PayPal Cashback Mastercard - We are not receiving transactions for this card.
- PenFed Credit Union- Has implemented technologies that limit or prevent aggregation. Data providers are coordinating with them to resolve issues.
- PennyMac Loan Services - The account is not currently supported.
- PNC - Connection is available from 10pm to 4am EST. Adding new connections is down.
- Principal Financial Group - This connection is currently under development. Some users may have trouble adding new accounts.
- Prudential Retirement - This institution has implemented changes that currently prevent us from aggregating accounts successfully.
- Robinhood - Some users may have trouble adding new accounts. Cryptocurrency holdings may cause incorrect balances.
- Sam's Club - Our data partners are rebuilding the connection to this institution.
- SoFi - Some accounts are not getting updates.
- Synchrony Bank - Has implemented technologies that limit or prevent aggregation.
- Target REDCard - Is preventing users from connecting or disconnecting.
- TD Ameritrade - May return an incorrect balance. MFA is not supported.
- TD Bank - TD Bank currently only allows transaction updates daily between 11pm-6am EST. Try a force refresh during that time. As of April 20 2022, TD Bank will require re-authentication every 90 days for all users who have connected their TD accounts through any third-party aggregator. Essentially this means that every 90 days, TD will disconnect your account and we will need to reauthenticate to get it working again.
- T Rowe Price - We are experiencing issues receiving transactions from this institution.
- Truist - Has implemented technologies that limit or prevent aggregation. Data providers are coordinating with them to resolve issues.
- USAA - Adding a new account may fail but you should try again. Transaction updates may be delayed. Credit card accounts may show debits as income.
- US Bank - May show an inverted balance, our data provider working on a fix.
- Vanguard - Vanguard blocks all connections weekdays 9am - 5pm (ET). You will have to connect your Vanguard account at night or weekends outside these hours. Once connected Monarch will refresh at night and weekends. The connection status will show red or "down" during the hours Vanguard blocks connections.
- Wealthfront - If using MFA you will need to create an app-specific password.
- Wells Fargo - Sets a limit on nightly refreshes, preventing timely updates. A force refresh should work. Also may show an inverted balance, our data provider working on a fix.
As a last resort if you are having connection issues you can always manually add transactions to a connected account or even create a separate Manual Account until the connection is repaired.
