Fixing Inverted Balances

Sometimes Monarch will get incorrect account-type information from banks, and the balance of your account (usually a loan) will appear inverted. You can adjust this in your edit account settings!

An account balance should not typically display as a negative value, unless a checking account is overdrawn or a credit card is overpaid. Even a loan should display without a "-" before the balance. But if your balance is incorrectly showing as negative, as in the screenshot below, you can fix it! Screenshot 2023-08-11 at 9.36.55 AM.png

When you edit the account, you will see the option to "invert account balance" and beside this will be a preview of the new amount.

After this adjustment, the balance should display correctly:

This feature is now on web and available for mobile version 1.0.139.
