What is Monarch?

Monarch is the modern way to manage your money. We're a financial app - accessible via both mobile app and desktop - that we hope will change the way you organize your financial life and help you achieve your goals even faster. Monarch simplifies your finances by bringing all your accounts together into one clear view - so you always know where your money is and where it's going. You can set budgets, track goals, view reports, and even collaborate with your partner or a financial professional at no extra cost. And no ads - ever!

Where can I learn more about Monarch?

We invite you to see Monarch in action, view some of our features like tracking, budgeting, and planning, see how Monarch can be used for couples or professionals, and more at MonarchMoney.com.

How does Monarch work?

Once you've signed up for Monarch, you'll connect your various financial accounts - like banks, credit cards, retirement accounts, and more - via one of our secure third-party data providers (see more here: Understanding Data Providers and Connections). Monarch will display the account balances and transactions for all of your accounts in one place, and you can use this data to create a budget, view reports on your spending, set goals, and more!

What makes Monarch different than other financial apps?

We think Monarch is the best financial management app out, but you can check out comparisons between Monarch and YNAB, Simplifi, Credit Karma, and Mint

Can I try Monarch for free?

Your first week is on us! We think you'll love what we offer. In fact, we are so confident in our product that we offer a money-back guarantee even after subscribing - if you don't love it, don't keep it!

Where is Monarch available?

Monarch is currently only available in the US and Canada. At this time, we recommend connecting accounts only in USD or CAD currencies (more here).

How much does Monarch cost?

You can see the latest subscription and pricing information on our website here.

When will I be billed?

You will be billed at the end of your free trial, and your subscription will auto-renew until it is canceled. Your next bill date is displayed on the Billing Settings page.

Can I cancel during the trial?

Yes, you can cancel during the trial. No matter when you cancel, you'll continue to have access during the rest of your remaining trial period, and as long as you cancel at least 24 hours before your trial ends, you will not be automatically billed. Even after your trial ends, you can start a subscription at any time from the Billing Settings page.

Does it cost extra to add another person to my Monarch account?

Monarch was designed with households in mind! You can invite one or more members of your household to get a joint view of your finances, all under a single subscription. Partners will each have their own login, but can view each other’s data and contribute their own accounts and transactions to a shared space. It costs nothing to add other members to your household under the same subscription.
