We support exporting your Apple Card statements from the Wallet app and importing them into Monarch!
To import your first statement, begin by adding an account as you have before. Apple Card will be displayed as an option along with other popular institutions. Select Apple Card.
After you have added your Apple Card and you want to import another statement to the existing account, go to that account and click the three dots in the top right corner and then select "Import Statement" instead of selecting Apple Card from the add account flow again!
Importing Apple Card statements is only possible in iOS.
After selecting the Apple Card, the flow will be unique from all other accounts. You will now be given the option to “Import your Apple Card statement.” This consists of four steps:
- Open the Wallet app
- Select statement
- Export transactions to CSV
- Open in Monarch
Watch the video below showing a new Apple Card being added. We see someone following steps 1-3 and waiting for their transactions to export as a CSV file.
Once your transactions are exported, it's time to import them to Monarch. This can be confusing the first time you do it because you'll need to hunt down the Monarch icon from your available apps.
The video below picks up where the video above left off. The CSV has been exported and the user selects "More ..." and picks out the Monarch icon from a LONG list! After selecting the Monarch Money app, the statement is imported.
And that is all there is to it!
Please note: When you import a statement to an existing account, make sure to go to that account and click the three dots in the top right corner and then press "Import Statement." If you just click Apple Card from the add account flow again, it will always create a new account.
