Delete transaction history for synced accounts on desktop

For synced accounts, the amount of historical data Monarch receives from institutions can vary. This can lead to different lengths of transaction history in your accounts. Because of this, Monarch gives you the ability to pick a start date for more accurate bookkeeping.

  • Navigate to Settings > Data.
  • Scroll down to the Delete transaction history in synced accounts section.
  • Underneath Delete transactions before... enter the date from which you would like your account history to start.
  • By default, it will have checkboxes marked to include the following - be sure to uncheck anything not applicable:
    • Include synced transactions
    • Include manually added transactions
    • Include transactions imported by CSV
  • Select Delete transactions.
  • A warning message will appear with a reminder that this action cannot be undone. Select Delete to complete deleting transaction history.

Note: this action only affects synced accounts and will not affect manual accounts.

  • Navigate to Settings > Data.
  • Scroll down to the Delete synced account balance snapshots section.
  • Underneath Delete account balance history before... pick the date you would like to have your data start with.
  • Select Delete account balances snapshots.
  • A warning message indicates that this action cannot be undone. Select Delete to complete deleting transaction history.

Note: this action only affects synced accounts and will not affect manual accounts.
