If you would like to change your billing from Apple or Google to direct billing with us, you can follow the steps below. The only difference made will be the billing provider. Your data (budgets, financial accounts, transactions, rules, etc.) will remain unchanged.
Part 1: Cancel Your App Store Billing
For Apple:
- Open the "Settings" app
- Tap your name
- Tap "Subscriptions"
- Select Monarch from the list of subscriptions shown
- Tap "Cancel Subscription"
For Android:

Open the Google Play Store app

Tap your profile picture in the top right

Tap "Payments & subscriptions"

Tap "Subscriptions"

Select Monarch from the list of subscriptions and cancel
At this point, you will continue to have access to Monarch until the end of your subscription period.
We cannot refund any payment made to Apple's App Store, so make sure to contact them if needed.
Part 2: Start Your Direct Billing
You will not be able to start a subscription through the website until your subscription through the app store has ended.
- Go to the Monarch Billing Settings page
- Select the option to Resubscribe
- Select the plan you want to subscribe to (Monthly or Yearly)
- Enter your payment information, submit the form and you’ll be on direct billing
